Joplin Health Department Food Inspections (April 24) | Local News

The Joplin Globe publishes summaries of routine and follow-up inspections performed by the Joplin Health Department. Companies that are inspected pass or fail depending on the violations found at the time of the inspection. These violations fall into two categories:

• Priority violations are more serious and relate to improper handling, storage and preparation of food. The Globe lists the number and summary of each violation.

• Basic violations are less serious and relate to equipment, maintenance and general cleanliness. The Globe only publishes the number.

A failed inspection can lead to various corrections depending on the types of violations found. Full copies of each report are available from the Joplin Health Department.
