Carlos Rodon's Wife Gives Health Update - OutKick

The New York Yankees gave Carlos Rodon a huge contract before the start of the 2023 MLB season. So far, that hasn’t worked particularly well.

Rodon has struggled with injuries throughout his career, especially after his debut with the Chicago White Sox.

But he seemed to have turned a corner more recently, achieving back-to-back dominant seasons. His 2022 with the San Francisco Giants has been particularly impressive, considering he’s made 31 starts with dominating results.

That landed him a six-year, $162 million contract with the Yankees, who expected him to anchor their rotation with Gerrit Cole.

But it didn’t quite work out that way.

Rodon started the season on the injured list with forearm discomfort, which often precedes Tommy John surgery.

Since then, he has also had back problems, which led to an even longer delay.

YouTuber and podcast host Jomboy then said on a recent episode that he thought Rodon was unlikely to cast again this season.

“Don’t expect Rodon to pitch this season,” Jomboy said. “If we were to pass on things that have been passed on to us that are unverified, without a source, without anything… some people are just like ‘hey, I don’t think that’s going to happen. “”

If his forearm strain is truly healed, there’s no reason to expect back issues to keep him out all season.

That said, forearm problems tend to recur. Some casters attempt to heal similar wounds. Some even come back for a few departures or appearances, before having surgery.

Every player’s situation is different, however, and Rodon can be

The Yankees are in desperate need of help, currently sitting last in a brutal American League East.

While the team’s struggles have been more pronounced on offense, another elite starter would certainly help the team stay competitive.

Rodon’s wife is sourced as well as anyone could be, but only time will tell if she’s right about her husband’s health.
